Hello everyone, My name is Shawn Brumell, and I was born and raised in New York City. Growing up, I wanted to become many things. I went from wanting to become an artist, to a doctor, to a therapist, before finally deciding on wanting to work in Production Management. It all started in high school, where I was assigned a graphic designing course. Taking this course helped me discover my passion for designing, as I created such things as posters and covers.
Attending New York City College of Technology opened many doors for me.I was able to acquire my first job at a graphic arts studio by the name of C4 Technologies. I not only helped create the companies website, but also helped in designing websites for their clients. Also, just this summer, I was awarded a fellowship at the Brooklyn Historical Society. There, I created my very own website for them. That fellowship helped me gain a position at the newly re-opened Queens Museum, as a visitor agent, where I give tours, explain art works, and guide visitors wherever they need to be. With only a year more to go before I graduate, I look forward to the future, and all it holds for me.
