Achievements

Brooklyn Historical Society-Summer

From June 11 to July 11, of 2013, I, along with eleven other local college students, participated in the Students and Faculty in the Archives (SAFA) Summer Fellowship, at Brooklyn Historical Society. The fellowship allowed selected students to further build their research and critical thinking skills. As fellows, we engaged in intensive primary source research, in order to complete a scholarly or creative project. We presented our finished pieces at a public symposium on July 11, 2013. We also helped curate a small exhibit that is currently on view till the summer of 2014. By interacting with a wide range of BHS staff, we learned about different career opportunities in the fields of museums and archives.
