Hello, and welcome to my e-portfolio! I’m Ruth Catano. I am originally from the Dominican Republic. As a transfer student, my academic journey has taken me from the vibrant landscapes of my homeland to the bustling city of New York. I was a pre-med student in the Dominican Republic with a deep desire to contribute to the well-being of my community.
My path was turned upside down when circumstances forced me to move to New York and put my medical studies on hold. Undeterred by this change, I remained steadfast in my commitment to make a positive impact in the field of health. Rising to the challenge, I shifted my focus to the health sciences, recognizing it as a multifaceted way to continue my quest to help others and promote community wellness.
From a young age, my passion has been driven by the belief that everyone deserves access to quality health care. I want to help make this a reality. Through this e-portfolio, I would like to invite you to explore my academic and personal experiences. Thanks for reading!
