As of January 2022, the population in the Dominican Republic was at 11 Million. It was studied that the Dominican Republic has an urban population of 83.7% and the rural area has 16.3% (Kemp). Additionally, the Dominican Republic has a female population of 50.1%, while the male population is at 49.9%. The country is ranked 85th in the world by population (Dominican Republic population). In terms of demographic, the Dominican Republic is mixed with different races. According to the Census Bureau poll from 2022, 74% self-identified as mixed (which includes Indio, mulatto/moreno, mestizo, jabao), 18% as white, 8% black, and 0.5% as “other” (People of the Dominican Republic, 2022).
