Reasons to Save Bees?
Bees are the main reason that flowers are pollinated, thus being the reason that vegetation is able to grow and reproduce. Bees are also part of the food chain, for animals that eat bees, losing a food source could be detrimental to the bird and insect population. Bees are also the founders of honey, without bees, pure honey would no longer be a food source for humans. Most of the food we eat is gained from crops, which relies on bees spreading pollen to help them grow. Allowing us to keep fed and nourished.
With such a major problem, If bees aren’t being cared for, it could lead to the end of humanity itself.
Possible Solutions:
To help the bees try planting some flowers, by giving bees more sources of nectar, bees will be able to harvest more food and increase their population. This also helps bees spread pollen and pollinate flowers filling up previously barren fields.
Use bee-friendly pesticides. By using bee-friendly pesticides, bees will be able to gather their nectar and leave without dying to pesticides. This increases the amount of bees since they won’t be constantly dying to pesticides as they try to gather from flowers.
To prevent the lost of the most glorious two-legged creature on Planet Earth, we must first start by preventing the lost of the somehow-able-to-fly-Bee.
Against Varroa
Preventive measures against Varroa have been stated to be but are not limited to Synthetic chemicals such as Pyrethroid insecticide [1] as a strip, and some naturally occurring chemicals like formic acid [2] as vapor or pads and powdered sugar have proven to be useful against them. There are several web sites and products dedicated to helping remove the mites from hives and prevent them from spreading. [3]
