The Three Versions of My PSA:
Version 1: My own writing:
Title : AI Assisting Natural disasters
How have you ever been through a natural disaster? Natural disasters are devastating and are occurring more often around the world. Recently Hurricane Milton in Florida had mind blown us. There’s good news, AI can help with making early predictions, real-time Alerts, and rescue Operations. AI can assist people during natural disasters in this case by recommending action plans based on real-time data, helping responders make faster and more effective decisions under pressure. More specifically, people looking for ways to prepare for or navigate natural disasters is effortless and efficient. This could include individuals in disaster-prone areas, families seeking preparedness resources, and better emergency planning and survival strategies. Although AI is a support tool to enhance survival chances, it can’t replace existing measures with humans such as experience.
Version 2: ChatGPT #1:
Prompt: using the above PSA rewrite it to be smoother and meant people endangered of flood and possibilities of survival (in 120-150 words).

Title: AI Assisting Natural disasters
Key Question: How does AI help improve chances of survival during natural disasters?
PSA: How have you ever been through a natural disaster? Natural disasters are devastating and are occurring more often around the world. Recently Hurricane Milton in Florida had mind blown us. More specifically, people looking for ways to prepare for or navigate natural disasters is effortless and efficient. By combining advanced technology with informed decision-making, we can enhance our chances of survival and resilience against flooding. Stay informed, stay prepared, and let AI assist you in safeguarding your future. Additionally, the ability to lead and motivate communities during evacuations or recovery efforts is inherently human. Ultimately, while AI enhances disaster management, it is human experience, empathy, and adaptability that play a crucial role in saving lives and fostering resilience.
Call-to-Action: AI can’t replace human measures such as trust networking, background experience and empathy. If you are endangered from natural disasters, then you should use AI for safety measures like having a plan for evacuation.

Reflection Essay: 400-600 words
My PSA project was a long project, I found it a little hard yet very time consuming since I`m taking longer to finish. I’m getting advice from my professor; my peer reviewer gave me suggestions that helped me edit more onto my PSA project. There were some brainstorming moments of where I want PSA to lead to, what articles to find that’ll be helpful to my readers comprehension of how much natural disaster have become a serious issue, just to give background information as well. This reflection essay will explore my experience in more depth. I will examine what I learned, the easiest and hardest parts of the project, what I would do if I had more time, and if my views have changed about generative AI.
Throughout this three-week AI project, I discovered three things. First, I realized how the right usage of AI can be beneficial to your knowledge and can assist you in ways that bring ease in researching almost anything. Second, I learned that ChatGPT is conversational, I never used this program but recently for this project I used it, my perspective has changed a lot. Before I thought, it`s just a waste of time and I might get in trouble for plagiarism, however I learned that only taking notes of some points and then paraphrasing it to make your piece of writing better is a skill that I feel like I grasped more than before. My first version that I actually wrote is closer to how I sound in real life.
The easiest was getting started, brainstorming, and writing the first PSA draft. The hardest thing was I was still indecisive about the type of PSA I wanted to work on, it took me awhile to figure out what message I wanted to deliver. One of the easiest parts was actually working with ChatGPT. The program is friendly and conversational, I would throw a prompt and get some more information in return.
If I had another week, I think I would like to work on looking for apps or platforms that can predict a natural disaster. I feel like there are more discoveries as to what futher steps can be taken. I think I would also like to work on creating AI image to regarding this PSA to challenge myself furthermore.
How have my own views on Generative AI changed during this project? This question is a straightforward one. There is so much valuable content and resources found using AI. I think it has made my writing comfortable for me. I learned that I could get something useful out of the Chat, but I also learned that I could learn even more if I kept adding on to my project overall. But back to the question: my views have changed only slightly. I was looking forward to using ChatGPT, but now I am satisfied with the responses I receive even though I must spend the necessary time refining the product to make it better on my terms. It’s all about learning what the outcomes can bring and how we can use some points to adjust my writing.
