When trying to figure out what kind of a website to set up, one tends to ask oneself what kind of website would be important to have? who would benefit from it? why is it important? Most of these questions came into our minds when trying to set up the site. We first came up with the idea of using a food website, the idea was that we take all of the closest restaurants for students and make a list. In the list we include how good the restaurant is and how bad it is. Also location and where to find it. This sounded like a great idea, but it was already done before. We then thought why not a video game website, but soon enough the idea was taken.
Not giving up hope we new that a website to prepare students for an interview was perfect. No one has made one yet for students and we really wanted to help better prepare the city tech students for future job interviews. This website is set up for the average interview, we mainly wanted to mention the different kinds of questions that you may be asked during an interview. We also wanted to talk about dress code which is essential when wanting to present yourself in front of the interviewer. We wanted to give a male and female overview of what you can wear to an interview. For the questions tab we gave students the frequently asked questions along with answers that are acceptable with the questions. These answers were meant to give students an idea of what they should say, that way they’re less nervous and more comfortable with the interview.
We also decided that with dress code and with the interview questions one should also have some tips they should know. These tips consist of what not to do and small things like always keeping eye contact during the interview, not to mention a firm handshake is needed, etc. These tips are meant to be small things that may not seem like they matter but go a long way when it comes to an interview and presenting yourself.
In the end our website was made to help deal with the anxiety that one may feel before going to an interview. We wanted to we wanted to relieve students and anyone that may feel like they’re going into the unknown that is interviews. One might question if this website is as accurate as it is said out to be and we assure you go to our citations tab and we will defiantly back up where our information is coming from. The information is coming from reliable sources that everyone trusts, but that have had an experience with interviews and what it is like to be in one. We found it essential for students to have a website like this and we believe any college student will benefit from this website.
