Hello and welcome to my ePortfolio.
My name is Peiqiong Li. I was born and raised in China, and immigrated to the US in 2015. I started worked as a dental assistantyearn ever since. after one year, I yearn for working as a hygienist. It takes me some time to make this important decision, since languege is the first barries of my journey. Althought it will take me longer time to achieve my goal, I made a brave decision: to be a register dental hygienist.
I keep working at dental offices to build up my communicate skills with dental team and patients while I taking the prerequisites and during the dental hygiene program. Meanwhile, it builds up my passion to continue to develope my career at dental field. Now, I am a current senior dental hygiene student at New York City College of Technology, and excited to be a future dental hygienist.
I enjoy my academic with bringing oral health concept to patients. Also, I combined the dental assitant experience and systemic professional knowledge and practice at school to improve my technique while I work and study. Although it took long time to be a dental hygienist, I am on the right tract achieving my journey.
