Tempo

Tempo is a factor that brings the life to a piece of music. The tempo is the speed at which a passage of music is or should be played. Different songs have different tempos, for example a rock song that could be set at 200 BPM’s (Beats per Minute) is different from a slow ballad set at 85 BPM’s. The pace at which a song is set to defines the mood of the song. A song with a high BPM would normally follow a happy mood and a song with a low BPM would be a sad and very mellow song.
