While working as a student nurse, I handled medication administration, dressing changes, IVs, PEG/NG tubes, urinary catheterization, oropharyngeal suctioning, tracheostomy care; also handled patients on continuous telemetry, and all other necessary components of nursing care; completed rotations to ER, OR, medical, surgical, cardiac and pediatric ICU’s as well as participating in outpatient psychiatric settings; earned a reputation for excellence in delivery of care, receiving praise from supervisors.
