Welcome to my portfolio, my name is Orlane Fontalvo Serrano. I am 20 years old and I started the journey to become a Registered Dental Hygienist 3 years ago right after high school. I am currently a senior dental hygiene student at New York City College of Technology.
A dental hygiene career was not something I was familiar with but has become something that I fell in love with. My first day of the program was the hardest for me because I was one of the youngest students and wasn’t in the dental field at all which made me feel very out of place. Looking back now, I would have never imagined I would have progressed so much and become so comfortable in my skills as a dental hygienist. I have a whole career ahead of me and many more to learn over the years but I am so thankful to be finishing up strong in such a delicate situation as the COVID pandemic.
I am so happy to have such a strong support system like my family that have not only supported me financially but also physically. This portfolio will show you my journey towards becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist.
