Letterpress Printing

     Letterpress Printing is one of the oldest forms of printing. It’s a type of technique used to put ink of metal or very hard plastic letters which is then pressed on paper leaving an ink impression. In the 15^th century Letterpress was the most used method for hundreds of years. Letterpress Printing  was introduced  by Johannes Gutenberg. This method was mostly used mainly for the newspaper.  Until the 20^th century  Letterpress Printing was the main way to print out information.

     This present day Letterpress Printing is still used but it’s not widely used as in the 15^th century to the 20^th century. The machine for Letterpress printing is a human sized machine which is very heavy. It’s a very expensive which ranges 2,000$ to 5,000$ used. I’ve seen the machine in person and how it was used and it works in average speed. It’s a very interesting machine.
