2023 Smart Tank Competition
May 11th, 2023, Smart Tank Competition was held in the new Academic Complex.
22 City Tech students competed for a $2,000 prize, thanks in part to a Beitler Grant, to funds raised by the Business Department during Giving Tuesday, to donations from Business Department Advisory board member, Leslie Harris (Chief Strategy Officer, Global Advanced Research, L’Oréal), the Business Department chair, Dr. Lucas Bernard, Business Department faculty member and co‐PI on the NSF grant, Dr. Denise Sutton, and an anonymous donor. Special thanks to designer Zijun Huang and the Faculty Commons for their work on the branding and design of the Smart Tank digital materials.

Four weeks of intense training in advanced manufacturing, including Product Development Using SolidWorks in a Medical Setting, Hands on Training with Various 3D Printing Technologies, Innovation and Entrepreneurship workshop, Hands on Training with CNC, GD&T, and Workshops from Industrial Experts.
