  • Primary care, assessment and evaluation of resident’s on mechanical ventilator.
  • Verify medication, diet (tube feeding) and treatment (wound care) orders.
  • Administer medication, assessing and dressing of wounds, providing oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal suctioning.
  • Train new staff on quality control and regulatory procedures.
  • Assume the charge nurse role on the weekends and occasionally weekdays, with responsibility to supervise 2 RN’s, 2 LPN’s, 5 CNA’s, floor assignment and organize unit activities for a 30 bed mechanical ventilator unit.
