  1. Yezierska’s   impression of America is that she was happy to be go to the land of hope. She compares her life in Russia to America cause there are more opportunities in America.
  2. Yezierska’s aspire to work. She must first find a job.
  3. Her Americanized Family didn’t treat her good because they only provide food and shelter but not paying her wages.
  4. Yezierska’s best part of working at Delancey Street cause they trained her to be a better worker. She end up losing it because of the long hours and she wanted evening off.
  5. Yezierska’s prefers to do work with her head and feelings not her hand. This prevents her from learning English
  6. I agree with the author’s argument that immigrant should receive free room and board until they can afford their own. Immigrants could hardly afford to keep up with the rent.
  7. She learned from the pilgrims that is not going to come easy and it takes hard work. This knowledge transformed to how to succeed in America by her working more than one jobs to make ends meet.
  8. The author talks about a girl moving from one place to another. And the struggles she will face while going through it.
