I made the effort this week to apply for a couple of internships listed on our internship coordination site; one was a Social Media/Marketing Internship with Liz Wolfe Coaching, and the other was an Augmented Reality Internship with Membit. I wrote individual cover letters for each of them and to my surprise, I heard back from both companies much sooner than expected. Liz emailed me the same day to set up an interview, and I received a response from Jay at Membit a day or two later.
I now have interviews scheduled with both companies for Monday, October 13th, and I’m excited to get the process underway. It feels great to see things moving forward, and I’m looking forward to getting to the interview stage, where I usually feel confident. I’ve always found that I perform well in interviews, especially one-on-one settings, where I can showcase my skills and communicate my ideas more effectively. I’ve been reviewing the companies’ websites to familiarize myself with their work and mission, and I looked up some questions to ask during the interviews.
