New Stance Personal Narrative

Alex Chao

“First knife skills then knowing how to control heat. Most important is choosing the right

product…the rest is simple.” (Justin Quek)This quote explains how to work in a kitchen using

knife skills and different techniques. My difficulties in a kitchen are learning the basic knife

skills. Not only is culinary stressful but it also helps me to procure verbal skills (knife cuts), how

to hold a knife and learning how to cut properly.

Revise

Having knife skills isn’t important at all. All it is is a waste of time to learn. Just cut it straight and not your fingers. There is no need to learn all the measurements and the different types of knives there are. As long as you cut what you need to cut, everything should be good to go.
