We treat their families, their significant others, their children. We hold hands, we wipe foreheads, we comfort tears. We use critical thinking and careful observation, but also emotional intelligence and honesty. We blend medical knowledge with sensitivity to provide holistic care. We allow curiosity to drive our continuing education. We go beyond in-patient facilities to see what our communities need. We hold our ethics dear and do not allow ourselves to be swayed from doing the right thing. We remember that ours is the most trusted profession and strive to maintain that reputation with every step we take.
