Virtual Workshop: echo3D

In September we had to watch some webinars or attend a networking event (online or in-person). I decided to participate in an online webinar on YouTube about 3D modeling for VR/AR/games program “echo 3D”.

The quality of the stream was low, so the screenshot is a bit pixelated.

The guy, streamer, and co-founder of the company “echo3D”, Alon Grinshpoon, basically was advertising his product. This software is allowing to upload created 3D models made in Blender, Unity, and other similar programs, manipulate them with it in the “Echo”, and also see how they will look in VR or AR; all on the fly.

This software has a free package, allowing it to work with most of the functions, but also it, of course, has payable options. I personally haven’t tried to use it, and haven’t installed it, but Googled it up before the stream just to get to know what is it.

About the networking. During the stream I haven’t had an opportunity to ask to network with them, to be honest, I just forgot about it. But on their website, they had contact information with a link to the company’s LinkedIn. There, through the option of seeing people working for that company, I found Alon. I wrote him that I just watched his stream, I very liked it, and would like to connect. He accepted the connection and wrote back that he is glad to be connected.
