This project was work from the Design Team Course and 99 designs. Designed a book cover for a children’s book and social media ads.
Design needs:
The book is for children from 5 to 12. The client prefers using animals, figures (in the form of feelings), or illustrations as design elements, and does not use photos. The client mentions no white as the background, but also no super bright neon colors.
Book description:
The diary provides children with questions, coloring tasks, etc. numerous suggestions to review experiences from the day and to stimulate them in the mindful handling of their feelings.
Concept: Colorful color combinations will attract children’s attention more. A diary is a written record of events that occur on a day or other period. Video movies are another form of recording events. So when designing illustrations and graphics was used film to symbolize the use of photos or videos to record emotions. As the theme of illustration, weather can stimulate children’s imagination and association, for example, in some literature, rainy days represent sadness.
