Course Description: This course studies the history of dress and textiles from prehistoric times to the Industrial era (c. 1800). It explores garment styles and fabrics from Asia, Europe, the Islamic World, the Americas, and Africa and culminates in a research paper/presentation on textiles from one of the regions studied.
