Being a digital artist who usually focuses on character designs and anatomy, this year has been quite a challenge for me. I’ve had to think outside the box while thinking critically to meet the requirements of a project. Many times I have found myself lost or confused to what we are doing or in a position where I’ve had to start everything from scratch. Nevertheless, it was a year where I have grown as an artist and have understood the value of how what we see affects how our mind works.
My three best works were my color wheel, which had inspiration from chinese dragons, my narrow and broad collages that I had made from photos of myself, and my thumbnails based off of the music I listen to. These creations have made me take these quirky ideas and turn them into actual pieces. Although I’d struggle with time management I did find myself growing in the strength of visual aesthetic.
