I feel that nursing is a very rewarding career. Respect, patience, and compassion for others are very important attributes to possess as nurses when caring for patients. In the field of nursing, nurses provide needed care to a wide variety of people. With a career in health care, I will encounter people of different races, colors, sex, and religious beliefs. It is important that we give quality care to all equally. Having an openness to other cultures and willingness to learn about other cultures, and their customs are crucial to providing culturally competent care. Health care is essential in the lives of all. I am pleasured to be in a career that is one of service and allows me to lead a purposeful life.
