Service learning project:
As team we presented to an after school program in Queens to a group of low income children who emigrated from China. We created a lesson plan and organized a Tell-Show-Do and focus on nutrition and oral health approach. Our presentation included:
- demonstration guides
- goodie bags
- good food bad food game
This was a great experience and gave us the opportunity to utilize our education and give back to the community.
Pit and fissure sealant placement:
Sealants where placed on multiple patients with cotton roll and dental dam on patients from ages varying from 9-25 years old.
Local anesthesia:
Successfully completed a course and passed all mandatory testing in the administration of local anesthesia. I will be qualified to administer:
- ASA
- PSA
- AMSA
- MSA
- Greater Palatine
- Papillary
- Mental
- Buccal
- Lingual
Nitrous oxide: course completed for administration.

Completed the Mandated Reporter course: Recognition of child abuse.
Head start Varnish program:
My class mates and I performed dental screenings and provided free fluoride varnish to the children at a local head start program.
