Have you ever played a game where you shot down enemies and timed? If so, then you’re in for the exact fun.The game Vortex,it’s your basic shooter game where you shoot down alien invaders, and for each hit(attack) is 1 point.Think to yourself, that you are a warship fighting for humanity  and you only have 30 seconds to kill as many as you can.The game is set up as where you can test your own skill of how many alien invaders shot down.Also,if time runs out you can still continue for as long as you want.But, if you want to challenge yourself then hit that reset button and put it to the test.That is what Vortex is all about!

 

The game Vortex my partner Timothy Hum,and I,came up with was rather simply.We are gamer’s who enjoy games and find it interesting creating a game.Timothy and I decided to do a shooter game where you see multiple enemies and to be shot down,Timed,and score recorded.First,Timothy, came up with the design.Using his imagination Timothy placed a multiple properties and made it simply enough for me to work on the block editor.Second,My job as block editor was to make Timothy design into a real and functioning project.In the Block editor,I used many block components to make the warship move,shoot a ball,make the ball hit the targets,make the targets move,in addition there was a timed factor that was needed.The most difficult part about the block editor was making a countdown sequence.The countdown part was the most difficult part because I didn’t know how to set it up properly.I asked Timothy how to do it and he was also stuck too so we both went online,we found that we needed an If condition to make the count down sequence and to make the timer enable: true.That being said,the IF condition needed other components to be complete so I needed to make sure that it also effects the scoring.Overall,after a few testing and mixing around the components my partner time and I manage to make a functioning shooter game called Vortex.
