Wes’s Profile
Hello, my name is Wes. I’m currently in my 3rd year of the Human Service program at CUNY City Tech. After completing my studies here I would like to continue onto a graduate program a attain my masters degree . In my free time I enjoy drawing, skateboarding, and hiking. I hope to one day become an art therapist or a guidance counselor.
My Courses
This course will explore the various critical health and safety issues and problems affecting children and adolescents. Areas to be explored will include nutrition, personal hygiene, medical care, first aid and safety, CPR, mental health, HIV and AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, chronic and communicable diseases, sexuality and birth control.
Learning about a community organizing and development theory and practice through community assessment, change strategies, empowerment skills and planning techniques in the profit, non profit and public sector are the focus of this course.
