Introduces concepts of problem solving using constructs of logic inherent in computer programming languages. Augmented by high level computer tools, enabling solutions to common algorithmic problems.Use of flowcharts to diagram problem solutions. Object oriented packages, flow charting tools and viewing generated software code.

Introduces concepts of problem solving using constructs of logic inherent in computer programming languages. The course is designed to familiarize the student with the basic principles of rigging, the equipment in general use, and the appropriate safety practices and procedures. By the end of the course the student should be able to:  Estimate weights of objects and determine loads imposed on the rigging system  Identify and properly connect essential rigging hardware  Tie a selection of important knots  Operate a counterweight rigging system  Rig a theatrical aluminum truss on chain hoists  Specify complete lists of materials required for basic rigging situations

This course explores research and documentation for all media formats including text, images, sound, and multimedia. Students will examine the full life cycle of information, including: how information is produced and organized in both traditional and emerging media, locating information sources in a variety of media and formats, critical evaluation of sources, the ethics of information use, and documentation and citation of traditional and emerging media and technologies.
