I am a Emerging Media/B-Tech Major

Bio

I am a Emerging Media Technology major, and I am pursuing the “Game Design and Interactive Media” track. In my former occupation I was an “Operating Engineer” . I used to operate the heavy machinery in The Construction Industry. I also did private security for the Fashion, Financial, Motion Picture, Music and Advertisement Industries. I also provided security for the “A-List” Clubs in the Soho, Broadway and Upper Eastside areas of New York, N.Y. My goals are to acquire a bachelor’s in Emerging Media Technology so that I can create social media and mobile apps for the disenfranchise people of the impoverish communities around the world.

My Courses

CST1102ID, Programming Narratives, SP2020

CST1102ID, Programming Narratives, SP2020

Students in this class write a video game narrative and program a trailer for that game using object-oriented programming.

MTEC2210 Game Design and Interactive Media, FA2020

MTEC2210 Game Design and Interactive Media, FA2020

This course offers a cross-disciplinary foundation for the design of games and interactive multi-media technology for artists, designers and technologists. Students will learn human-centered design principles and apply these methodologies to collaborative team-based projects across web, mobile and games. Using case studies, brainstorming processes, and rapid analog and digital prototyping, students learn design thinking and problem-solving techniques to enhance usability, incorporate sensory experience, influence perception, increase appeal, and make more effective interactive design decisions.

MTEC 3175, Experimental Game Design & Development, Fall 2019

MTEC 3175, Experimental Game Design & Development, Fall 2019

This hands-on studio course will focus on the creation of innovative workable prototypes exploring expressive forms of gameplay using a variety of multi-media approaches, methodologies and materials. The aesthetics of game design, including asset and character development, level design, game play experience and delivery systems will be covered. Supplemental readings on the complex interplay between story and game will be explored to analyze effective narrative devices and game mechanics. The class will involve lectures on game theory, design exercises and in-depth analysis of works across commercial, art & social change sectors.

MTEC 1001, Game Design & Interactive Media Skills Lab, Spring 2020

MTEC 1001, Game Design & Interactive Media Skills Lab, Spring 2020

This lab-based course offers supportive instruction and training for digital media design and content delivery using a variety of software programs and platforms. Topics covered include but are not limited to raster graphics, vector graphics, 3D modeling, digital audio, and digital video production and editing. The class offers comprehensive theoretical and practical instruction of the tools and techniques for digital imaging, graphics, video, sound, and interactive design. Specifically, students will be introduced to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, WordPress, Audacity, Audition, Premiere, and Unity. In addition, workshops have been designed to foster a culture of collaboration and sustainable learning community.

MTEC1101-D290 Emerging Media, Sp2020

This course is an introduction to emerging, interactive multi-media technology with a focus on interdisciplinary, project-based, cooperative learning. Students will be immersed in the protocols and processes of emerging and interactive media design, including: idea development, research, documentation, presentation, prototyping, and production, which will serve them in the face of rapid changes in technology. Students will explore basic theoretical and applied concepts of audio, visual, haptic, immersive, sensory and interaction design through creative group projects, visiting professionals, field trips and online documentation of their work.
