Aspiring to be a General Nurse Practitioner
I am a Registered Nurse with medical-surgical and geriatric longterm care experience. I currently have 1 yr 5 months experience in patient care. My experience in the healthcare field has been 11 years with varying duties such as staffing, medical records, clerical supervision, administrative support to department heads of nursing and Human Resources and patient care. I acquired a Bachelors in Finance in 2007, Associates in Nursing in 2014 and expected to graduate with a Bachelors in Nursing in June, 2019 from New York City College of Technology.
I am chemotherapy certified from the Oncology Nursing Society and have experience in administering chemotherapy. In addition, I am proficient in using Kronos, EPIC, Sigmacare and Point Click Care.

NUR 4130 HD63 Professional Nursing Practice Spring 2019
A variety of professional, historical, theoretical, ethical, and health related issues relevant to contemporary nursing are discussed. Students will use a variety of professional tools such as in-class forums to debate relevant health care issues, the resume, a portfolio, and template for a project proposal for enhancement of professional development.
