Rob Timmins a native of Brooklyn, NY; is the Associate Director of Counseling Services for New York City College of Technology. Previous to this position, Rob served as the Coordinator of Veterans Support Services at the college. Prior to his work with the City University of New York, Rob was social worker for the City of New York for several years; and the former Field Director for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. Rob is a combat veteran who served as an Infantryman with the 101st Airborne Division in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2003 to 2004. Rob earned his Master of Social Work degree from New York University and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the College of Staten Island. In addition to his work with veterans, Rob is a lecturer in the Human Services department at New York City College of Technology and a Field Instructor for Hunter College’s Silberman School of Social Work as well as New York University’s Silver School of Social Work. Rob Is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
