I spent most of my life training in traditional arts and as a draftsman and then was pursuing a fine arts degree in 3D animation. As I got a closer look of the industry I was about to enter, I did not feel that it was my true dream environment or that I’d ever have a fair chance to find my voice. Working on the computer and as a traditional artist has given me a strong background in design, aesthetics, troubleshooting/problem-solving skills, adaptivity, high attention to detail, and a lot of patience for my craft. I’m now studying Hospitality Management at CityTech because I feel this is a new area I can explore my creative skills and find a strong voice to run my own something one day. I also hope to create or work with fundraising projects and to advocate for issues important to me throughout my career.

An overview of the history, likely directions and organizational structure of the hospitality industry and its role in local, national and global economies. Students are introduced to the nature and scope of the hospitality industry, basic terminology, management concepts, career path explorations and the department’s mission and culture.
