Professor Ruben Velasquez’s Profile
I received the B.E. degrees in electrical engineering from the University Technologic of Pereira (UTP), Colombia, the M.E. in electrical engineering from CUNY University City College, New York, the M.P.h.D. in electrical engineering from CUNY University Graduate Center-City College, New York, and the P.h.D. in electrical engineering from CUNY University Graduate Center-City College, New York. My current research interest includes “The Design, Fabrication, and Characterization of Integrated Photoconductive Antennas for On-Chip Terahertz Wave Radiation and Detection.” I have published two peer-review journals in the subjects of heterogeneous integrated Terahertz Photoconductive Antennas, and characterization of Terahertz-wave of photoconductive antennas.
My Courses
CET3510_MICROCOMPUTER SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY
An introduction to microcomputer architecture and the basic concepts used in the Personal Computer (PC). Key features of the PC are explored by writing programs in a high-level language (such as C) to access them. Assembly language programs are utilized to gain insight into machine-level operations. Laboratory exercises support the lecture and are carried out in the context of currently available operating systems.
