My Projects
I created a local website that will our lives easier by making the sign up process for the club more neater. So basically, when a person enters the site, that person will see 3 tabs; One for gallery, register for a club, and contact us. Once they enter register for a club, they will have to fill out the necessary form and click submit. It will automatically get sent to my database where I can view or export it to an excel format. This will have us not second guess a students name or their info my making out their hand writing. Also, this local website will also be useful for showcasing our projects and future goals.
For this project we are building a RC car that will be control via Wii Classic remote. Using the D-pad a person can control the 2 servos which controls the view of the webcam which can livestream the footage on to your laptop, therefore, you don’t have to follow the car to see where it is. Using the two joy sticks on the controller will control the movement of the car. You can go either UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT. We also wanted our project to feel like a modern day car. We wanted a parking sensor in the rear, because we can’t see what’s in back of the car, and we wanted a light in the front just in case of a scenario, such as, if it’s too dark the light will turn on so that the webcam can process the footage so a person can see on where the car is on the laptop.
ASEE Electro Magnet Cube Manipulator
A simple mechanism is required to transpose a row of alphabet blocks into a column of the same blocks. This mechanism picks blocks from an array of four alphabet blocks that spell “A-S-E-E” from left to right and stack them in a sequence so that “A-S-E-E” is spelled vertically down. A team would provide its own decorated blocks for the competition.
My Clubs
The Association of Computing Machinery is a professional association which looks to advance computing as a science and a profession; enable professional development; and promote policies and research that benefit society. The mission of ACM @ CityTech is to provide students with close relationships with industry and other students. To that end, we work on projects, invite speakers, host workshops, organize trips, and advertise career fairs. This club is open to all students, of all majors. Stop by and say hi!
