Graduated with M.Sci. degree from Kiev State University, Ukraine. Diploma work: Separation and Characterization of Multiple Forms of Thrombin. Received Ph.D. degree in Bioorganic Chemistry from the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Ukraine. Thesis: “Primary Structure of the Penicillium vitale Catalase.” From 1994 to 2000 Senior Staff Scientist in the Institute of Biochemistry, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Fellowships in Friedrich Miescher Institute, Switzerland and in The Glycobiology Institute, University of Oxford, UK. Researcher from 2000 to 2011 at The University of California, and from 2013 to 2017 scientist at the Stanford University Medical School. Published 22 scientific papers, one patent; participated in numerous meetings and conferences.
