Catalog description: Continuation of CET 4705. Further design of subsystems requiring solution by differential equations. Worst-case designs and component tolerances, development of control systems. A term project may be assigned.

Technologies, protocols, and techniques used to connect a computer network with other networks through the use of gateways that provide a common method of routing information packets between the networks. Internetworking technology allows computing devices to other internal and external devices, components or systems. Topics include Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) implementation, wireless networks implementation, network security, advanced switching and routing configuration, advanced TCP/IP configuration, and network management. In particular, this semester will focus on the content required to obtain the CCENT/CCNA ICND1 certification from CISCO. NOTE: This course was formerly known as Microcomputer Interfacing.

Modified Transport Vehicle (MTV)
We designed a radio-controlled vehicle that uses an “active” suspension system, which detects liquid spills (e.g. Water, oil, etc.) in a transport container we created using a simple water sensor. The system is based on a 4-wheel/DC-motor chassis with many supplement components such as: two servos, an accelerometer, a water sensor, a passive suspension system (which entails a spring or rubber band) we designed ourselves, and an Arduino Mega 2560 micro-controller. We adding a platform on top of the chassis of the vehicle and stabilize it in order to be able to transport materials, by stabilizing the add platform we were able to protect the transport container from small vibrations from effecting the effectiveness of the transport of any material placed on the platform.
