Explores design and type sensibilities, challenging students to strengthen their creative and visual aesthetics. With emphasis on sensitivity to type, exercises integrate type within a variety of different mediums including page layouts as well as kinetic design.

An exploration of the role of professional designers in creating a consistent image and voice for a company or institution through an identity system which addresses all aspects of its visual public presence. Students are challenged to create a comprehensive, multi-channel presentation showcasing all aspects of an identity system.

COMD Course outcomes are the assignments and projects that are developed and produced by the students. These outcomes should reflect consumer behavior, industry processes, best practices and deliverables. One current focus is showcasing and presenting the design process in the form of portfolios, books, slideshows, workflow examples.
