Culinary Arts and Pastry Arts
I aspire to work many different positions under the hospitality industry. I would like to be a successful cook, pastry chef, an entrepreneur as well as many other professions. My love for creativity started out when I was in middle school. I was always interested in art and fashion design. As I got older, and completed my first year of college, I came to a realization that I personally wouldn’t make as much money as I want to selling paintings or fashion designs. I’ve had past experience in the kitchen due to a small food business that my mom owned and throughout the years I’ve also tried to make myself more comfortable in the kitchen. I also had a job working as a dietary aide in a nursing home. I would like to do really well in my classes right now as well as classes I have to take in the future. I am prepared for the journey I have to take to have a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management.
My Courses
Students are guided through an overview of the history, likely directions and organizational structure of the hospitality industry and its role in local, national and global economies. Students are introduced to the nature and scope of the hospitality industry, basic terminology, management concepts, career path explorations and the department’s mission and culture.
