Bio

Hello there!
My name is Jessenia Nayotl, but you can call me Jess or Jessie for short. I’m currently studying Graphic Design and Illustration at New York City College of Technology. My goal on most projects is to include my original content.

I was born in Queens, New York, and was raised in Mexico when I was 3 years old. At 8 years old I came back to the U.S. and had the struggle to speak and understand English during my elementary school years but I manage to learned the language more by the end of my elementary school year. Throughout my school years, I developed my affection for drawing and making my own sketches bringing my interest in Illustration and Graphic Design.

While working on projects for my past classes, I know the importance of organization and the time these projects take, of course dedicating more hours brings better work, the importance of colors as well how careful the work must be done. I enjoy using different colors as well as experimenting with their gradient. Especially trying new ways of style in color and design. Artwork is also something I really enjoy focusing on real-life objects, portraits, and figure drawings. Knowing the usage of pastel colors from warmth to cold, highlights, and shadows, is enjoyable as well working with black and white.
