This course is an introduction and overview of the basic techniques and components used in commercial video production. Students will work in teams and individually to explore principles of production. Introduction to equipment, process, and terminology will be reinforced by readings, lectures, and hands-on exposure. The preproduction process, shooting schedules, camera, lighting, and audio operation, and post-production techniques will be explored. Differences between studio and location shooting will be covered.
