Graphic Design
Born and raised in Ecuador at the age of 15, she moved to the United States where she began studying at Bronx Bridges High School in the Bronx graduating in 2018. She is currently in the second year of a communications design career in New York City College of technology in Brooklyn where she learns how to improve her design strategy and knowledge of the art of design. She is a sunflower lover and horror movies. Some of her interests are graphic design, photography and typography.

This course is a practical introduction to the field of illustration. Focus will be placed on process work and professional practices, presented within contemporary and historical context. Course includes projects and lectures in a variety of illustration genres including: advertising, book illustration, film, and editorial. A variety of materials will be introduced through lectures and demonstrations for use on assignments such as: pencil, pen and ink, brush, and digital illustration. Critical concepts such as: Conceptual Development, Working on Assignment, Composition, Contrast, Value, Point of View, and Color theory will be introduced.

This course explores creative visual thinking and its importance to communication design. Students will experiment with image-making techniques and learn to use graphic elements to communicate concepts and ideas.
