Radiological Sciences
My name is John Polcari: I received my Associates degree in 2012 in Radiologic Technology and Medical Imaging. While earning my AAS I was the recipient of the Phillips Award for Outstanding Academic Performance, The Carol MacCourt Award for Dedicated Service, President of the Rem Rad Club, Member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Dean’s list all four years of school with a cumulative 3.74 GPA. I have served on the panel at the recent FEGS career day in the Bronx, Spoke at the Brooklyn High School career day representing City Tech. I am constantly promoting the profession of medical imaging. Also, participated in a collaboration of student radiographers and student nurses in a published experiment. Remained employed as a personal trainer throughout school., and is currently seeking employment as an ARRT certified and NYS licensed radiographer. I am also up for the position of Vice President of NYCCT’s Alumni Association. I have recently decided to pursue my BS in radiological science.
I love to work out and teach others the proper form for obtaining visible changes in their appearances. I love to cook cupcakes and enjoy eating them just as much. Mt cupcakes will make your knees weak.
My Courses
Library 1201: Research and Documentation for the Information Age
In this course we will explore issues in research and documentation for text (print and digital), images, sound, and multimedia. You will investigate where information comes from and how it is organized in both traditional and emerging media. We will examine the ethics of information use and determine how to critically evaluate sources. Throughout the course, you will create and present research and documentation projects using traditional and emerging media and technologies. This is a writing-intensive course. You should expect to spend roughly 6 hours outside of classroom time preparing for class each week.
