Hello, my name is Jenny Chang and I am currently a Communication Design major at New York City College of Technology. I am a transfer student from Borough Manhattan Community College, where I received my associate degree in Liberal Arts. In the summer of 2002, after when I graduated 8th grade I remembered I started losing weight and began to use the computer. My sister introduced me to Xanga ( http://www.xanga.com), a site for blogging, and I created an account for myself. As a novice, I only learned how to change my default picture and write a daily journal. After exploring Xanga a little more and browsing other people’s Xanga, I started to understand how HTML works. It was so odd; I was addicted and obsessed with my Xanga. I started changing my layouts of the webpage and adding music to my site constantly. I became so good and from that day forward, I developed passion for HTML coding. I wanted to learn how to use Flash, Adobe Photoshop, and Indesign but never had a chance to learn it because none of my friends knew how to operate those programs. While I was in Borough Manhattan Community College, I took a Multimedia class relating to Adobe Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver and more HTML. It was very interesting and I get to learned basic skills. It was a little challenging at first because I had to remember how to operate it step by step. I decided to study Communication Design because I want to learn more about these programs and since I am in New York City College of Technology, I decided to choose Graphic Arts as my major.
