A first course in dif­fer­en­tial cal­cu­lus. Top­ics in­clude func­tions, lim­its, the de­f­i­n­i­tion of the de­riv­a­tive, dif­fer­en­ti­a­tion rules, tan­gent lines, L’Hôpital’s Rule, and ap­pli­ca­tions of the de­riv­a­tive.

A first course in differential calculus. Topics include functions, limits, the definition of the derivative, differentiation rules, tangent lines, L’Hôpital’s Rule, and applications of the derivative.

ENG 1121 is an ad­vanced course in ex­pos­i­tory essay writ­ing that in­cludes a re­quired li­brary paper. This course fur­ther de­vel­ops re­search and doc­u­men­ta­tion skills (MLA style) begun in ENG 1101. De­mand­ing lit­er­ary and ex­pos­i­tory read­ings are as­signed for class­room dis­cus­sion and as a basis for essay writ­ing.

ENG 1121 is an advanced course in expository essay writing that includes a required library paper. This course further develops research and documentation skills (MLA style) begun in ENG 1101. Demanding literary and expository readings are assigned for classroom discussion and as a basis for essay writing.
