My name is Hassan Fares, I’m 21 years old, and I am in my third year at City Tech. I’m studying emerging media game designing and I chose this major because games bring lots of joy to me so I wanna return that favor to other people and it would be really fun to one day use the skills I learn to work with a team and make our own games. I hope to one day program and code my own game.

THE2280 History of Theatre ID, SP2020

A survey of the development of architectural and scenic styles in the physical structure of theatre from its beginnings in ancient Greece to its most current forms. Emphasis placed on the stylistic influences of theoreticians and artistic movements. Interdisciplinary Option: This course is a conversation between theater history and architecture. As such, the work in class focuses on purpose-built and adapted spaces for live performance. Each week we will examine historical theatre spaces and technologies in the context of prevailing cultural and social forces in order to better understand audience/stage relationships. To fulfill the interdisciplinary requirements for this course, specialists from architecture, art history, and performance technology will guest lecture six times over the course of the semester.Students will learn skill-sets from architecture technology: GIS mapping and hand sketching. MTEC 2210 Game Design and Interactive, SP2020

This course offers a cross-disciplinary foundation for the design of games and interactive multi-media technology for artists, designers and technologists. Students will learn human-centered design principles and apply these methodologies to collaborative team-based projects across web, mobile and games. Using case studies, brainstorming processes, and rapid analog and digital prototyping, students learn design thinking and problem-solving techniques to enhance usability, incorporate sensory experience, influence perception, increase appeal, and make more effective interactive design decisions.
