My name is Esmeralda Reyes, I am currently 20 years old and studying Communication Design at City Tech. One of the main reasons I chose to go down this path in my studies, is mainly because I love being in creative field. I find that there is no wrong or right way creating art, its complex. I am very excited to be following a career path that is not considered conventional in my family, which keeps things interesting for me. I originally before enrolling in classes, wanted to become a psychologist, but I figured out that you can stay and become stagnant so I decided to pursue art.
Apart from going to college, I have my own small business. I am a nail tech/artist. One of the things I like about what I do is that I get to meet different people form all paths of life. Doing nails has always been one of my favorite hobbies because it helps take my mind off the ordinary challenges we face. Im excited to see how graphic design and my love for nail art can tie in together.

This is a beginning course that explores the technical and aesthetic concerns of photography. Using dSLR cameras, professional lighting equipment and software, students will explore fundamental concepts of light, exposure, and composition in order to develop the ability to control photographic style to create visually engaging images.
COMD1112 Digital Media Foundations, Fall 2022
This course introduces students to core concepts in the graphic communications field including typography, color theory, design and production terminology, reproduction processes, file formats and substrates. During the semester, students will complete three pages of their own ePortfolio web site. Lectures will provide students with a historical perspective of the graphic communications field as well as discussing current practices and future trends.

In this course you will take skills you acquired in Eng 1101 to the next level. You will enter this class alone, and leave as a part of a vibrant and lively Writing Community. The work is rigorous, unusual, challenging — and fun. You won’t look at language the same way again.
This course offers an extensive introduction to the technical and aesthetic practice of Photography.
