My Courses
ARCH2431 Building Tech III, SU2018
Course focus is on steel construction. This course studies the development of building systems as they occur during the design development phase of architecture. The focus will be on steel construction. Using case study research methods, students analyze factors, such as building assemblies and systems, codes and government regulations, human ergonomics, and sustainability, which affect building construction and use. Their solutions to these issues are integrated into their final building design solutions. Students create a series of reports and a set of construction drawings using both analog methods (hand sketching and drawing) and digital tools including traditional CAD software and Building Information Modeling techniques.

ARCH2310 Design III, Fall 2016
This course is an exploration of abstract architectural design theory as an expression of three-dimensional space. The creation of comprehensive architectural design projects are developed following a building program and incorporating elements of site, enclosure, structure, material and technology. Design concepts and vocabulary are introduced and strengthened through design projects.

Architectural Technology Peer Advisement
Welcome to the Peer advisement page for the Architectural Technology Department! Our main goal is to increase the retention of females within our department, but our services are available to all students! Percia Gomez, Marvin Guerrero, Alejandra Davalos and Elizabeth Ramirez are the Peer advisors for the ARCH Department and are available to help with tutoring, school website navigation, campus resources and more! If you’re seeking help in any of those categories, take a look at the calendar for the ARCH advisors’ office hours and drop in for a visit! Feel free to post any comments or questions related to the ARCH advisement program to this page, we’d love to hear from you!

My Clubs
City Tech Women Engineers Club
The mission of the City Tech Women Engineers Club is to promote awareness and interest in improving the enrollment, retention and graduation rates of women in the technology programs at New York City College of Technology, as well as develop leadership skills through workshops, seminars and student collaboration. lnstitute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Women in Engineering (WIE) student branch at CityTech invites all interested students to join the Openlab club. Joining IEEE WIE student chapter is optional. We provide support, information and resources to all members to help them succeed in their engineering technology field of interest.
