This is my second semester at city tech, only my first semester in the hospitality management major. All through high school I knew after I got out, my ultimate goal was to get my degree although at the same time I never really knew what I wanted to do. I tried to go into business and marketing of fashion but about halfway through the semester i realized that it was not what I wanted to do with my life. I have always been a more hands on person as well as the fact that I have always loved to cook and bake which is why I felt like this was the career path for me. I always wanted to be able to learn and love what I am learning about as well as be able to later use that in my career. I consider myself to be a people person. In addition I love to travel and I think it would be awesome to eventually find myself working a management job somewhere in the food/travel industry.
My Courses
SUSTAINABILITY IN HOSPITALITY – This learning community will introduce the 21st Century relevance of sustainability in the hospitality industry and incorporating the concept connecting the various foundations taught in these two introductory management classes. Connections will be made as students investigate their career options and widen their scope of industry knowledge. Students will learn how to establish a professional electronic profile and simulate a career exploration search.
