Aryana Baez’s Profile
Born and raised in Queens, New York, art has been a consistent and growing outlet of mine. As an artist, I create content from paintings, tattoo design and portraits for both clients and self. I was inspired to see how I could incorporate my passion into a career, and decided to enroll within the Communication Design Department. Moving into a growing digital era, my time within the COMD Department has strengthen my interest and provided me with lasting tool to use within the Digital field. I am in the process of creating my own design business, in which I create and sell prints of my work on posters and merchandise as well as brand identities for up and coming businesses. The objective behind my content is to create influential and timeless designs revolving around topics that I feel are important and could use gained knowledge of.
My Courses
Internship in Communication Design (Hybrid) Assignment to field work/study situations of approximately 15+ plus hours per week at a graphic arts-related internship site approved by the department internship director. Sites may be in areas such as advertising, printing, corporate communications or publishing. Students keep a log/journal to be shared in group seminars/discussions. Supervision is by faculty and by the job supervisor. Students will be required to keep a learning journal of their internship in the form of a blog using Open Lab.

Production for Designers focuses on current print and production procedures that can prepare designers and creative thinkers for real world situations. Understanding print (offset and digital) and the process of production is an essential part of design that can assure a predictable outcome of deliverables.
