Bio

I am a third yeararchitectural technology undergraduate student at The New York City College ofTechnology. Growing up in a big city like New York has enhanced my interest inArchitecture because of the intricacies of the buildings and structures. As thedaughter of Dominican nationals I have had the opportunity to visit theDominican Republic and embrace different types of Architectural styles. I havealso had the opportunity to watch my cousin work in the field being that she isan Architect herself and learn key elements in designing a structure.

Furthermore, my goal inregards to the field is to focus more on the commercial aspect of it. I want tobe able to design gorgeous buildings like Renzo Piano and Norman Foster two ofmy favorite Architects. Throughout my time at the New York City College ofTechnology I have learned many skills from drafting to making models andworking programs such as AutoCAD, Rhino and Revit. I have pursued classes thatwill prepare me for a future in Commercial Architecture.

My Projects

CUNY Service Corps

CUNY Service Corps

The CUNY Service Corps will mobilize CUNY students, faculty and staff to work on projects that improve the short and long-term civic, economic and environmental sustainability of New York City and of its residents and communities. The program’s goals are three-fold: for students to make a meaningful difference through service while gaining valuable real-world work experience, earning a wage, and where appropriate, receiving college credit; for faculty members and staff, through their work with students in the program, to have additional opportunities to apply their expertise to addressing many of the city’s key challenges; and for residents, communities, and project sponsors to realize concrete benefits as a result of CUNY Service Corps projects.
