In this rewarding and challenging introductory class, we will endeavor to understand the deep and complex relationship between human language and human technology. You will apply your insights and discoveries to a major research project focused on a single form of technology- mediated communication. What you learn will have important significance to a successful career in technical communication. We will raise these issues during lecture and discussion.
My Projects
Project Wayfinding is a college-wide effort to answer the question “How can Faculty, staff, and students effectively provide/use accurate information for academic career planning from Day 1 through Graduation?”
To reach the required total of 6 courses in the flexible common core, students in AA, AS and bachelor’s degree programs must complete at least one course in each of the five Flexible Core areas and an additional sixth course in one of them. Students can complete no more than two courses from any one area. • World Cultures and Global Issues – 3 credits • U.S. Experience in its Diversity – 3 credits • Individual and Society – 3 credits • Creative Expression – 3 credits • Scientific World – 3 credits
